Places to Visit in Gurugram

Looking for amusement, fun and excitement? Fun 'n Food Village near Gurugram is a rocking place. All age groups find it interesting to be here with water parks and joy rides to set your adrenalin rushing! This park was established in 1993 and is the largest wave pool in and around Delhi.

Wild Life Sanctuary in Gurugram

For those who love to watch birds and animals, Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is the place to go. You will enjoy basking in the natural surroundings with fresh water lake, migratory birds (pelicans, flamingo, duck, geese etc.) to give you company. If you start early in the morning, you can even witness the scintillating sunrise reflecting its beauty on the lake water. It is indeed a lovely  sight. November to February and March to April are ideal months to visit here.

Sohna

Drive down to Sohna (56 kms. from Delhi) and experience bliss. You will be able to visit Shiv temple and watch hot water springs! And these hot water springs date back to the time of 'Pandavas' when Arjun, one of the five brothers, dug the well to quench his thirst. Situated at the foothills of the Aravallis, you can also stroll in the splendid park nearby.

Kurukshetra

The place is known for its religious fervour. Spiritual people love to visit Kurukshetra. You can visit Sannihit Sarovar, Brahma Sarovar, Jyotisar and Krishna Museum.

Other Interesting Places near Gurugram

Nuh in Mewat district of Haryana has shaking minarets. Surprised! Restoration work is needed here for attracting more tourists to this place. Morni (70 kms. from Gurugram) is a hill station in Haryana ideal for picnic with friends and family. Surajkund (15 kms. from Delhi) is where you can enjoy camel rides and horse rides! Handicrafts items here can be found in abundance with artisans showing you how they create magic with their fingers. And to add to the extravaganza, there are cultural programmes too! Best time to visit Surajkund is in the month of February.

Karnal district of Haryana is famous for 'Karna Lake' which has religious significance too. The character from Mahabharta --- Karna, took bath in this lake and it is here that he gave his armour to Indra.

Blue Terra Spa is one of the best spa's in Gurugram. It will give you few moments of relaxation with good service. You can enquire for Ayurvedic treatments too.

Tikli Bottom is a modern-day resort,  half an hour from Delhi airport, if you drive down to this place. Well equipped with modern facilities, you can opt for staying here for a day or two with tariff ranging from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000.
